For the 3 cadets who didn’t take the test, it will be held on Friday 10/07/2009 at 1.00pm, please report in your school uniform, outside the red cross notice board
Memorise the following 12 laws it will be tested.
(a) Bathe daily; wash hands before and after meals and after visiting the toilet.
(b) Brush teeth night and morning, and rinse mouth after every meal.
(c) Be regular every day in using the lavatory.
(d) Have an upright posture when sitting or standing.
(e) Our body needs fresh air and sunlight.
(f) Exercise regularly for health and maintenance of ideal body weight.
(g) Use handkerchief / tissue to cover mouth or nose when coughing or sneezing.
(h) Do not spit.
(i) Have a balanced and varied diet for healthy growth.
(j) Drink at least six glasses of water a day.
(k) At least 8 to 10 hours of sleep and rest per day.
(l) Wear clean clothes and use clean personal articles.
On Friday please have:
(a) Nails - short & clean.
(b) Hair - well-cared, neat & clean,
(c) General Appearance - clothes, shoes, etc.
You also need to Make a poster or chart to promote any one of the Twelve Health Laws.

Expectation of cadets when training starts in july
A set of uniform in tip top condition( Beret Season, Uniform Ironed, Boots Polished)
Self Discipline
Good footdrill standard
Obey School and greendale red cross rule(see below)
Have a set of Mufti(Track Pants with unit shirt-sec2, Pe t-shirt-sec1s)
Able to sing red cross song and recite pledge(see below)
Greet NCO and Teacher in charge accordingly- When you see a NCO/Teacher during training stand still and greet 'good afternoon Sir/M'am' when its outside just walk as you greet.
Coke water bottle with greendale red cross label the size should be 7cmx5cm(see below) Print in colour
When sitting sit upright, when standing stand straight
Able to perform CPR on little anne and have knowledge about CPR
Knowledge of basic first aid- Beeding, burns, Fracture, Choking (Sec2)
Visit the blog every 2 days if you don't have interent get the information from your friends

Just to revise on the last post
Everyone is only allow to change from mufti to full-uniform in school.
No one is allow to wear from home and walk or take bus to school.
If your parents are driving you to school, make sure that your full-uniform do not get dirty and must be straight. The best is you come to school and change.
Please also
remember to bring along your mufti, even if your parent are fetching you.
Everyone is suppose to have a pair of mufti during training.
Please remember to bring all your notes that are needed to the training and study it before you come.Mufti - PE shirt/Red Cross Tee and Trackpant,

When you report to come please wear your mufti then change into full uniform in the school,unless your parents drive you to school. This is because we do not want you do dirty your uniform, and you represent SINGAPORE RED CROSS and SINGAPORE RED CROSS YOUTH so member of the public will high expectation of your behaviour, so if you make a nuisance of yourself you will make them think that cadets of RCY are ill discipline. Even you are wearing mufti,i expect all of you to maintain a high standard of discipline because you are also representing RED CROSS and GREENDALE SECONDARY SCHOOL because you are from a uniformed group.Remember this : Having self-discipline is what you do without anyone watching and asking you to do
